Our wooden lamps (and lampshades) are made from FSC-certified birch plywood. Birch is very light in color when freshly cut, and gradually becomes a bit darker and warmer over time when exposed to daylight.
Most shades can be used either as hanging lamps or as lampshades on a base. When used as hanging lamps, they come with a pendant (cord and ceiling cap). For the heavier lamps, the pendant includes a steel wire so the cord doesn’t have to carry the weight.
The lamps shown below are our “standard” models. These can be ordered for the listed price. By the way, we kept the Dutch names for all lamps. After all, if your name is John, you don't want to be called Jan. If you want yours a little different — bigger, smaller, with fewer or more slats — that’s usually possible. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the war in Ukraine, birch plywood is very hard or nearly impossible to get. And when it is available, it’s so expensive that we’d have to charge extreme prices for the wooden lamps. We’re currently exploring other types of wood (such as maple).
